about
I'm from Toronto, born and raised. I grew up in the centre of the city, a short walk from Yonge and Dundas. I was a one directioner, bieber fan, and read every single one of Rick Riordan's books. I became fond of computers starting in middle school, where my favourite extracurricular was running Minecraft servers for my friends and I. In highschool, I was lucky to have access to a great robotics club and be able to dedicate many hours to it.
I was lucky to have great mentors that taught me the essentials of mechanical design and how to build things with cool machinery. During the summer between high school and university, I worked a summer job at a 3D printing shop, I wrote articles on how 3D printers work, the tradeoff on quality based on layer heights and all that fun stuff.
Going into university with the pandemic in full swing will be saved for another time. From grinding school, internships, and getting a glimpse of the tech industry, I've deduced a couple of things. Beyond any tech stack, I want to be proud of my work and the impact it has on people. I want to build things that make people's lives easier, or better, or more fun. On top of that, working alongside a vibrant, kind folks is what keeps me going.
